How to look after your knitted garments

Laundry tips

For the very best results hand wash your precious hand knitted items.
Use an approved wool wash in cold or warm water.
Gently agitate the water around the garment, then rinse thoroughly.
Do not wring the item, because doing so will cause it to lose its shape.
If you do use a washing machine set it to the most gentle cycle.
Make sure that you wash hand dyed wools separately.

Storage tips

Keep your knitted garments flat in a drawer or your closet. If you hang them on a hanger they will lose their shape from the pull of their own weight.
Keep knitted garments protected from sunlight, otherwise their colour can fade. So after washing, dry them in shade - again laid flat.
